The Unbalanced EP by Stalker was the first release on newly formed Sankeys Dope Records; founded by the owners of the original Sankeys Soap nightclub in Ancoats, Manchester
The band had a fairly brief existence, originally started as a studio project with Tracey Elizabeth, Andy soon enlisted guitarist Eric Nardini from Secret Society to add to the recordings. Drummer Iain Kelly and flutist/keyboard player Bernard Moss, both previously in Kalima, joined forces to add to a live line up.
The band played prestigious gigs up North and in London; notably the first ever registered wedding in a night club at the Hacienda, Manchester.
‘I was born’ and ‘Tik Tok’ were also released on a 7” vinyl single the same year.
